The Zookeeper's Wife

I am currently reading The Zookeeper's Wife By Diane Ackerman. Its a war story, and definitely a topic that I am not a fan about. But this book caught my interest because its in Poland, a neighbor of my country, Slovakia. This book brings me back in time, when things weren't as simple as they were before, and makes me realize about how people and places change overtime.
Since most of us are in the same area for a majority of your life, you don't really see change. But when you read about what something was like in the older days, or when you leave, you really realize how fast everything changes. Its crazy how in one moment something is like it is, and then it just, changes. It isn't what it is what it was before. I think that war fits this book perfectly, because the main cause of war, is for change.
