Riven Rock

So I started this book on Wednesday. I only got to read the Prologue, but so far it sounds interesting. Its about a guy named Stanley McCormick, and he hasn't seen a female in 20 years. He is like any other guy, he has a wife, a mother, and a sister.
Only when reading the prologue, I am already curious why he hasn't seen a female in 20 years. I mean, I am not a guy so this might be a little confusing for me. But probably he feels like he's a bit of a sexual maniac? I don't know. Or maybe Stanley feels guilty about something. Maybe he cheated on his wife.
The reason I am reading this book AFTER I read The Heights, is because I had this old lady see me read The Heights in my building laundry, and she said that this book is really interesting, and especially at this age, can really make me think differently. I have no clue if she meant this in a good or bad way. Anyways, I think that she was right. The first 5 pages got me interested in this book, so I wonder how this book will "change" me.
