So, I've given up on Riven Rock. I feel like it's not my type of book. It is really fast, and I feel like there are too many details for me, and its hard to keep track on what is really going on. One moment McCormick is in a office, waiting to see if his Mechanical Reaper will soon be used in farms, and then another moment, he's in his bed, thinking about his son and his wife.
Personally, the first two pages were good, but then it got to complicated. I started reading this book called Upside Down Inside Out by Monica McInerney. Its about a chick named Eva, and its somewhat like Eat, Pray, Love. But its a little different. She goes to Australia, and meets Joseph, who is on a business trip, and I guess it becomes like a love story where they fall in love, something goes wrong, they fall back in love and whatever. I hope that this book will capture my attention and won't fail like Riven Rock did.
I like your honesty about it, and your connections. Some books really aren't just meant for some people.
